Date Night

Saturday night we went to dinner with the Biesingers to celebrate Lillie's Birthday and Mothers Day that were both on Sunday. Lillie chose the Crab Pot, and no I do not eat fish, but they serve other things and so I was happy to go there because I knew Tyson would love it! It was our first date night since we had Magnolia so it was so nice to go out, if even for a few hours. And although Lola may not look happy for our picture, she was just great.

Family weekend

We had a great family weekend, minus Tyson, last weekend at my parents. All of my siblings got to see Lola for the first time, and I got to see Benton as a teenager for the first time. Really though...I can't believe how much he has changes since I saw him over Christmas.
We only had Saturday and Sunday together so one day we spent mostly out by the pool lounging and talking. The weather was absolutely perfect! Too bad I had only packed jeans and sweaters because I didn't get the memo about nice weather. Luckily my cousin Molly was there to loan me a pair of shorts to wear. Weird...I couldn't fit into my Moms or Ali's. That night we went to dinner and then came back and hung out. Abby, Collins old girlfriend, came down to visit on Saturday night which was such a sweet treat! I love her so much, and she has always fit right in with our family. It was fun to hear her adventures working at the W Hotel in Hollywood with all the stars...I love those kind of stories!

Sawyer had a bath buddy for the first time.

Sunday was Magnolia's first time to church. It was fun to finally get her dressed up, even though she slept through it all and never got out of her car seat. Then we headed home after dinner. I love these weekends, I just wish Tyler didn't have surgery til late on Friday night and that I had a husband ever once in a while.

You know I have a newborn when...

Sawyer starts watching a little too much Scooby-Doo, and starts creating "traps" upstairs for everyone. He has spent almost two hours working on different traps for me, Magnolia, Tyson, Colby and Sarah. I am glad he can find other things to do besides just watching the show.

Miss Magnolia

Its crazy how fast a month can go with a newborn. I look back and feel like I was just anticipating her birth, and now I feel like I really am getting to know her.
I wish I could know what it is I did to deserve such an amazing baby...but I got her! Thank you Magnolia for knowing how much I LOVE my sleep, and therefore basically sleeping through the night since the day you came home with us. I kept not wanting to say anything because I felt like the moment I started to brag, you would change. But thankfully you haven't.
At a month she weighs 9 pounds 12 ounces, has a fussy time from about 7-9 when Tyson is home with her (so he thinks she is a fussy baby), sleeps most of the day and night, is starting to smile, and is happy being in her swing all day long. I feel like before I know it she is going to be crawling. I can't believe how much they grow so quick.
