Sawyer kept asking for my Mom to come with us to Disneyland, so we talked her into getting passes with us. Tyson had the day off from work so we just drove down for the day. It ended up being a lot longer of a day and drive than I had anticipated, but we still had a lot of fun. Sawyer absolutely loves riding pirates and we introduced him to the Haunted House and Finding Nemo this time. He loved both. Its so nice being able to do something like this so often. And I loved having my Mom there because Tyson and I got to ride the roller coaster.

Pure Homec

We decided to buzz Sawyer's hair to just make things easier. His hair grows so fast and I've been feeling like every couple of weeks it is too long again. It totally brings me back to the college years again seeing all six of the Homec boys at times, and all of them having buzzed heads. The other part of this picture that I am loving is the fact that Sawyer now puts his leg up on his knee whenever sitting down, and then tells me "Like Daddy". He is obsessed with everything about Tyson and is always saying "No Mom, Daddy do it". Fine by me, less work for me and more for Tyson.

This weekend I was lucky enough to go to Utah for one of my favorite cousins, Jared's, wedding. Tyson was a great husband to stay home with Sawyer so that I could have my first break away from them, not that it was needed...just too expensive for 3 plane tickets. I hadn't been to Utah since Tyler and Kim got married three years ago so you can imagine my excitement. I ate Cafe Rio twice in two days, Nothing Bundt Cakes, a pumpkin cookie dough shake from Malt Shoppe compliments of Kim's parents, and had a few Ben's cookies. Is it sad that all my trip revolved around was food. I lost my voice from apparently talking too much, but had so much fun seeing family that I don't get to see much as I get older, and loved seeing Jared and Jessica get sealed together. It was an amazing weekend.

SAWYER turns 2!

We celebrated Sawyer's 2nd Birthday on Saturday. I was excited for it to finally be his birthday because he loves the sing the birthday song daily, and now he could use his own name. We decided to give him his present, the tricycle, in the morning because we knew he was getting something much more exciting at his party.

The party was Shrek themed due to Sawyer's recent obsession, and this was the amazing cake that his Grandma Raquel got for him. Sawyer thought it was real and asked him to sing.

This was the motorized tractor that he got, putting our tricycle to shame. He was so excited about it. He loves riding it up and down the street, and it will work so perfectly in our non-landscaped backyard.

It was a very fun night with a lot of our family. I can't believe that Sawyer is already 2. We have been so lucky to have such a well behaved child. Lets hope this year isn't what they say it is.

More Halloween

On actual Halloween day we got to go to a my gym class that we normally attend, but this time Sawyer got to wear his costume. He thought it was so fun jumping on the trampoline dressed up like a monkey. That night Tyson's Mom and her husband Charles came to stay from Arizona so we had all the family over for dinner, trick or treating and some games. Sawyer was all excited to trick or treat until he went to the first house across the street and the man that answered the door was dressed up, and scared him. From then on we had to hold him at every door. It was still a very fun night, and we got enough trick or treaters at our door that we had no left over candy. Now its basically Christmas...I can't wait!
