These 2 really are lovers and haters these days. One hour they are playing together, entertaining each other with who knows what...and then the next hour Sawyer is doing everything in his power to bug Mags, and she is letting us all know with her SCREAMING!
I am just so glad that we have hit the age with Magnolia that she can now play and not just want me to hold her and entertain her myself. I must say I love her, but it gets a little old having someone attached to me all day.
I can't wait for them to get older and love each other more, and maybe not love each other sometimes too.

a mini girls trip to Palm Springs

Rachelle came down from Arizona for the weekend to celebrate our birthdays, which are the same day. We decided to get away, sort of, and stay in Palm Springs. It was fun to feel like we were somewhere completely different even though I am usually right there a few times a week.
We spent most of our time lounging at the pool, talking, laughing, and eating yummy food. It amazing how just 2 days away can really make me feel refreshed and I can enjoy being a mother so much more. Of course I love my kids...
Rachelle loves Norma's at the Parker Hotel, so we went there for breakfast one morning. I am not normally a breakfast eater so it was a little hard to justify a 30 dollar crepe and diet coke, but the ambiance was so cute, and the food really was amazing. They started us with a little shot of a strawberry-lemonade smoothie that was to die for!
We also met a couple at the pool who were swingers. That made for a very interesting and informative afternoon. I can honestly say that those last few hours at the pool when I was dripping sweat and burning a little, went quicker than most.
Oh, how I love a little girl time away!

Beach House... part 1

We spent three weeks at my parents house, and the beach house. It was heaven. I normally start to feel a little stir crazy to get back to my own bed, routine, husband and what not. This time I wasn't ready to leave yet (except for missing Tyson of course!).
I met my best friends from growing up for dinner one night. I think we stayed and chatted for like 4 hours. It was so fun. I wish time didn't go so fast, and life wasn't so busy. I wish we could do this more often.
I spent some time with some of my best friends from college. We had ours kids play. I love how our loves have changed so much, but our friendship doesn't.
We had the Hoffman's over one night for an early bon-fire. I love s'mores!
